Alpha Gamieyon escorted his mate to their bedroom. “You’re completely safe while Alpha Laighin and his males are here. You are not restricted, and neither are the children. I don’t feel there’s a reason to be on alert due to their presence,” he said.

She nodded. “I agree. I’ve been spending so much time with Bonnie, I think when the twins wake, I’ll take them outside to play in the back. They’ve been enjoying the sandbox you made for them. Maybe we’ll fill the wading pool, too.”

“That’ll be fine,” he said, smiling at the thought that his two-year-old twins enjoyed the sandbox he’d made with his own hands for them. He loved nothing on this Earth more than his mate and their babies. It was the whole reason he put up with the bullshit being Alpha brought with it. “I’m going to make sure Alpha Laighin’s males have all they need and feel welcome as well. If you need me, call for me.”

“I will,” she said, turning to press her long slender body against his. She kissed his lips and sighed as he held her close. She gave the appearance of feminine gentleness and submissiveness, with almost an ethereal appearance, but it was not at all the essence of her lion. Her lioness could easily gut most of the males in their Pride, and they all absolutely knew it. “We’ll be fine. Take care of our guests.”
